The Language Center at the University of Jordan (UJ) organized on Thursday a ceremony to graduate the first semester Batch (2022-2023) of the Arabic for Speakers of Other Languages Program.

Language Center Director, Dr. Sami Ababneh said in his opening address, "We are proud of you all and this lovely batch and filled with happiness with this large gathering. You will always be welcomed here at the Language Center, the University of Jordan, and Jordan."

Ababneh also called on the graduating students to keep in touch with the center, and to be good ambassadors for the university in their countries, pointing out that the linguistic and cultural coexistence they experienced at the center made their relationship with each other and their teachers exceed language learning to something deeper and more comprehensive.

The ceremony included musicals, Dabkeh performances, and poetry readings in Arabic, in addition to displaying a video showing student life at the university, and the educational and cultural activities they experienced.

Prior to handing out the certificates, a number of students gave speeches on behalf of the graduates, in which they expressed their overwhelming happiness with the time they spent at the university, and the level they had reached in learning Arabic, thanking their teachers for their efforts and the center for the specific cultural activities that have been organized for them.
