German Corner Inaugurated at UJ

The University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah together with the German Ambassador to Jordan Birgitta Siefker-Eberle inaugurated on Sunday, September 17, the 'German Corner' at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
 
The new corner, set up in partnership with the German Embassy in Amman, enables UJ students to learn more about the German culture and traditions and to benefit academically from a variety of reliable information sources.
 
Prof. Mahafzah expressing appreciation for the Embassy's support, adding that the corner provides plenty of resources for German language students and students wishing to complete their studies in German.
 
The Corner offers access to a variety of resources, such as books, DVDs and periodicals.
 
In turn, the Ambassador hoped that the Corner will raise the students’ knowledge of the language, culture, history, and the achievements of Germany.
 
Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Prof. Mahmoud Al-Shra'ah said it is an educational and cultural resource center about the country, adding that the School also houses the American, Spanish, French and Italian Corners.
