A ceremony was held at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Tuesday to marks the 82nd anniversary of the birth of His Majesty the late King Hussein.

UJ President Prof. Azmi Mahafza, who attended the event, said that King Hussein will always be remembered by the Jordanians.

Mahafza also referred to the "King Hussein Bin Talal Chair”, which was launched by UJ last year.

The Chair, according to Mahafza, aims at attracting researchers and scholars who seek to study the ideology of King Hussein and revive his memory among Jordanians in general and UJ students in particular.

Also to mark the occasion, a photo exhibition was held featuring the life of the late King taken by his personal photographer. The exhibition is organized by the Bible Society of Jordan.

Moreover, the Royal Automobile Museum brought to UJ two classic cars that were used by the King in royal processions and visits.

The event was organized by UJ in cooperation with Sanad Association for Youth Thought and Action.
