Exhibition Showcases Chinese Calligraphy

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the School of Foreign Languages at the University of Jordan (UJ) organized in cooperation with the Chinese embassy an exhibit features works of Chinese calligraphy.
 
Dean of the School Prof. Turki Bani Khalid toured the exhibit along with the Chinese cultural attaché and the Chairman of the Department of Asian Languages Dr. Zaidoun Shara.
 
The exhibition showcased a collection of Chinese calligraphy highlighting famous philosophical and poetic quotations. It showcased student paintings inspired by the university campus.
 
It is noteworthy that the Chinese New Year falls on Feb. 5 this year, and denotes the meanings of love, goodness, happiness and hope.
