UJ Library Hosts Martin Luther Exhibit and Discussion

The American Corner at the University of Jordan (UJ) Library in cooperation with the American Embassy in Amman organized an exhibit featuring a photographic history of the live of Martin Luther King.
 
The exhibit was inaugurated by UJ Vice-President Prof. Ahmed Majdoubeh.  Majdoubeh pointed during the inauguration to the university role in exposing students to other cultures and lives of prominent personalities.
 
For his part, the representative of the US Embassy, Dr. Jag Garis spoke about king's fight against racial discrimination and for the rights of African-Americans.
 
Following the inauguration, a panel discussion took place on the life of Dr. Martin Luther king and his famous speech "I have a Dream" during the historic March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.
