UJ Establishes an Art Therapy Diploma Program

The Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan (UJ) has approved the establishment of a professional diploma program in Art Therapy at the School of Art and Design, starting from the 2021-2022 academic year.


The one- year diploma program is the first of its kind in the region, and includes music therapy, drama therapy, and visual arts therapy, such as painting, sculpture and ceramic molding.


 

The program has been developed by the collective effort of the arts and design, medicine and rehabilitation sciences schools, in cooperation with the EU's Erasmus+ programme.


Priority in admission into the program will be given to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in the disciplines of arts, medicine, rehabilitation sciences and nursing, then students holding a major in educational psychology.


Terms of application and mechanism for enrollment into the program will be announced later through the website of the School of Arts and Design.
