 The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Jordan, Nafsika Krousti on Wednesday visited the University of Jordan (UJ) and met with the President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah.
The two sides discussed aspects of academic cooperation between UJ and Cypriot universities.
In her first visit to UJ, Krousti stressed her country’s keenness to enhance ties with Jordan in various fields.
Krousti said 2016 was an excellent year for the Jordanian-Cypriot relations, referring to His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit to Cyprus last September, and the inauguration of the Jordanian embassy in Nicosia.
Mahafzah, for his part, briefed the guest about UJ's schools, facilities, and academic programs offered for both local and international students.
He also spoke about UJ's international relations with universities abroad, particularly in Europe.
Mahafzah also confirmed the University's keenness to promote and further consolidate cooperation with universities in Cyprus.
