The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday inked a cooperation agreement with the Amman Chamber of Commerce Training Academy.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Azmi Muhafazah, UJ President, and Mr. Issa H. Murad, Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) President, in presence of Dr. Ashraf Bani Mohammed, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Director, and Dr. Wassim Haddad, Director of the Academy.
The agreement stems from the need to reinforce the link between the commercial sector and the universities, with an aim to improve the local business environment through participation and initiatives aimed at reforming legislation, influencing economic and trade laws and policies, supporting small and medium enterprises, and boosting innovative projects.
Under the agreement, the Chamber and its Academy will provide students, employees, and entrepreneurs with specialized trainings in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation, and cooperate in organizing seminars and workshops on issues of common interest.
