Cultural Counselor of Japan Embassy Visits UJ Library

The Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of Japan in Amman, Fuki Muraoka, on Tuesday visited the University of Jordan (UJ) Library in the context of examining cultural cooperation prospects between Jordan and Japan.
 
Dr. Mujahed Al-Thneibat, Director of UJ Library, said that the University is keen to cooperate in all fields of science and culture and offers every opportunity to achieve that, indicating that the cultural and scientific resources contained in the library has been a source of attraction for building relations with several countries.
 
In turn, Muraoka expressed his intention to connect with Jordanian researchers interested in Japanese affairs, as well as his desire to establish a Japanese cultural corner inside the library.
 
He also voiced the Embassy's wishes to exchange a collection of publications and brochures with the Library in order to provide the Japanese community with more information about Jordan and its educational institutions.
 
The guest, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Saad Abu Dayyeh, a former visiting professor at the Nagoya University, and Dr. Mujahed Al-Thneibat toured the library and got acquainted with the Japanese books in it.
