University of Nebraska Academic Delegation Visits UJ

On Thursday, a delegation from the University of Nebraska in the US visited the University of Jordan (UJ) as part of an official visit to the Kingdom from 16-17 February.

The purpose of the visit of the delegation, which included the Associate Dean of the Institute of Agricultural and Natural Resources, Dr. Tala Awada, the Executive Director of the Food Processing Center, Dr. Terry Howell, and academics from research centers at the university, is to explore aspects of joint cooperation in a number fields, especially agriculture, food production, sustainability and water management.

The delegation also examined with UJ officials the possibility of cooperation in the areas of applied scientific research, training, and joint programs.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the School of Agriculture Prof. Safwan Shiyab; Director of the Water, Energy and Environment Center, Prof. Khaldoun Shatnawi; Vice Dean of the School of Arts Dr. Tawfiq Lewis Schumer, and Head of the Sociology Department, Dr. Rania Jaber,
