Some 97 per cent of ICT companies prefer to recruit fresh graduates, according to a study by the Information Technology Association of Jordan (
int@j), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported earlier this week.
The two-month study aimed to identify the factors that affect job opportunities. It found that 101 out of 136 companies employ recent graduates with no experience while 12 per cent are willing to employ applicants with diplomas. The association also found that ICT students lacked English language skills as well as motivation.
