First Job Career Seminar 2013 concludes at UJ
The Career Guidance Office - King Abdullah ∏ Fund for Development at the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) organized the First Job Career Seminar 2013 at UJ with the participation of four major Korean companies.
 
According to the Director of the Career Guidance Office, Dr. Mahmoud Maqableh, the Fair aims to prepare expected to graduate students to enter the labor market, and explore employment opportunities in major Korean companies and to encourage students to apply and compete for jobs available at those companies.
 
EunHo Jo, the commercial attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Amman said the event is one of the initiatives of the Korea Business Centre and reflects its commitment to capacity building and human resource development in Jordan, pointing out that Jordan has a distinct manpower.
 
Arwa Abu Qura, the Coordinator of the Fair said the Fair is an opportunity to recruit UJ graduates in Korean companies (LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Kowloon Global and KEPCO).
 
The four Korean companies delivered presentations on the fields of their work and what qualities companies are looking for in candidates.
 
At the end of the fair, some students reviewed the most prominent challenges that afflict the youth sector in finding jobs that fit their specialties, including the lack of self-marketing skills.
