Faculty of Arts & Design celebrates birthday of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Jordan (UJ), Prof. Keram Nimri said Amman Message is the message of the Jordanian people to the peoples of the world and represents brotherhood, moderation and tolerance, regardless to gender, color, religion and race.

 

This was during the religious ceremony which was organized by the college to commemorate the Prophet's birth anniversary.

 

Nimri added that the ceremony embodies the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein in the Amman Message, which calls for justice and tolerance among religions.


Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and the event’s supervisor, Fouad Al-Khasawneh said the goal of organizing concerts on the various occasions, is to involve university students in different extracurricular activities.

 

The ceremony included Islamic chanting performed by the Hashemite band. In addition, Dr. Ayman Tayseer, Department of Musical Arts, recited a selection of Sufis poems in praise of the Prophet.
