The President of The University of Jordan (UJ), Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh mourned the death of Scholar and Professor of Honor at the university Dr. Abdul Karim Gharaibeh who passed away on Saturday.

 

Tarawneh expressed immense grief and deep sorrow over his death.

 

“Jordan has lost a prominent scientist who was the first Jordanian to receive a doctorate degree in history and the first professor appointed at the University,” Tarawneh said.

 

“The deceased devoted his life to the service of science, leaving behind a recognized record of sustained and outstanding research contributions and publications," Tarawneh added.

 

Furthermore, Tarawneh prayed to the Almighty to grant the deceased his mercy and eternal peace and to give his family serenity, fortitude and good consolation.
