The School of Arts and Design's Department of Music on Wednesday celebrated its top students and accomplished Jordanian artists who have contributed to enriching the art scene in Jordan and the Arab world.

 

School of Arts and Design Dean Prof. Ayman Tayseer expressed his pride in the students' academic accomplishments; calling on them to continue their journey toward higher levels of success and achievement.

 

In turn, Chairman of the Music Department, Dr. Haitham Sukkareih said the honoring aims at recognizing distinguished students and creating an atmosphere of competition to stimulate innovation and excellence among students.

 

Prominent local artists who were honored include Rawhi Shaheen, Wael AbuSaud, Nabil Sharkawy, and Dr. Emile Haddad.

 

Other highlights of the event included a video presentation showing the students' learning journey, a piano performance by student Rita Kareem, and a song performed by student Lisa Naber.
