Deans of Pharmacy Schools in Jordan Meet up at UJ

A number of deans of Pharmacy schools in Jordan recently met up at the University of Jordan (UJ) School of Pharmacy to discuss issues of common interest, including the upcoming conferences scheduled to take place at Al-Isra and Al-Zaytoonah universities in Amman.

The attendees also reviewed the topics that will be presented at the workshop which will be hosted by UJ in October on the system and standards of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), in addition to UJ School of Pharmacy's experience in obtaining ACPE's certification.

UJ School of Pharmacy was awarded the ACPE's full certification status last June.

ACPE certification means that the B.S. in Pharmacy and  Pharm.D. Programs offered by the School are designed and implemented in accordance with international standards.

The school is the first to obtain this certification in Jordan and one of the first outside of the US.

ACPE is a US-based agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy.
