UJ Announces Major Academic Reshuffle

The University of Jordan (UJ) Board of Trustees on Monday decided, upon the recommendation of UJ President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, to effect major academic reshuffle at the University as of the 1st of September 2017.

 

The Board appointed Prof. Imad Salah as UJ’s Vice-president for Investment, Development and Financial Affairs; Prof. Musa Al Lozi as Vice-president for Centers and Community Service Affairs/ President of Aqaba Branch; Prof. Omar Al-kafaween as Vice–president for Administrative Affairs; Prof. Zaid Bqa'een as Vice–president for Scientific Faculties Affairs; and re-appointed Prof. Ahmad Majdoubeh as Vice-president for Humanities Faculties Affairs.

 

The reshuffle included the appointment of all of Prof. Mohammed Qudah as Dean of the School of Arts; Prof. Sadiq Alhayek as Dean of the School of Physical Education; Prof. Abdul Rahman Al Kilani as Dean of the School of Shari'a, Prof. Rami Haddad as Dean of the School of Arts and Design; Dr. Nada Rawabdeh as Acting Dean of the School of Archaeology and Tourism, Dr. Ahmad Hamdan as Acting Dean of the School of Dentistry; Prof. Mohammad Al Shridah as Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies; and Dr. Khaled Atyat as Dean of Student Affairs.

 

With respect to the Aqaba branch, Dr. Basil Zboun has been appointed as Acting Dean of the School of Languages, Dr. Raed Bani Yaseen as Acting Dean of the School of Management and Finance, Dr. Ibrahim Bazazo as Acting Dean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality, Dr. Abdullah Al Haj as Acting Dean of the School of Information Technology and Systems, and Dr. Marouf Khalaf as Dean of the School of Marine Sciences.
