Turkish Ambassador Lectures at UJ
The University of Jordan (UJ) on Thursday, October 16, hosted the Turkish Ambassador in Amman, H.E Murat Karagöz, to present a lecture on the bilateral relations between Jordan and Turkey.
 
The lecture addressed the nature of historical relations between Jordan and Turkey, Jordan's leadership role in the Middle East, and Turkey's pivotal position towards what is happening in the region and the world.
 
In his lecture, the Ambassador spoke about the various aspects of joint relations between the two countries including education and scientific and cultural exchange.
 
Karagöz also presented challenges facing the region and the world, and his country's support for the central Palestinian cause.
 
The lecture, organized by the School of Foreign Languages, was attended by the director of the Turkish Cultural Center Cengiz Eroğlu and a number of faculty members, and officials from the Turkish Embassy.
 
Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Sharaa, in his welcoming address, referred to academic cooperation between the School and the Turkish side, represented with the Turkish language program offered by at School.
 
UJ President, Prof. Azmi Mahafza, met with Ambassador Karagöz in his office, where the two discussed ways to enhance bilateral cultural and academic relations.
