"The Palestinian Issue, Where To?" Conference Concludes with Poetry Evening
The three-day International Conference titled "The Palestinian Issue, Where To?" concluded at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Thursday with a poetry recital by famous Palestinian poet Tamim Al-Barghouti.
 
Al-Barghouti recited poetry about the history of the Palestinian cause and the struggle, suffering and aspirations of the Palestinian people.
 
"I can't believe that I am at the University of Jordan," Barghouthi said at the beginning of the evening, expressing delight for being part of this important event.
 
Al-Barghouti recited his famous poem "Sixty Years", a poem titled "Servant" and others, concluding the evening with his long poem "In Jerusalem" which received the most enthusiastic response by the crowds.
 
At the end of the evening, Al-Barghouti was awarded the conference shield, presented to him by UJ President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, alongside with chairman of the preparatory committee, Vice President Prof. Ahmad Majdoubeh.
