Book Fair Opens at UJ

On Sunday, November 18, a book fair was opened at Hamdi Mango Centre for Academic Research at The University of Jordan (UJ) in cooperation with Azbakeya Amman.

The fair was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Schools Prof. Zaid Baqain and the Director of the Centre Dr. Yasser Al Bastanji and Azbakeya Amman co-founder Ghazi Al-Thaybah.


The aim of this fair is to encourage students to read. This fair offers hundreds of book titles in cheap prices, and it will end on Thursday, November 22.

Al-Bastanji said this the third time the Centre has organised this book fair in order to attract students and motivate them to read to create an ambience of cultural interaction; this fair offers literary, political, and scientific books.


It is worth mentioning that Azbakeya Amman is a popular new and used book vendor. Founded in 2011, Azbakeya Amman has participated in many university fairs and in different places in the kingdom.
