International Conference and Workshops on" Building Capacity for International University Cooperation and Research Collaboration" Concluded

The International Conference and Workshops on "Building Capacities for International University Cooperation and Research Collaboration" concluded with the participation of Jordanian and American universities.

 

The event is organized by the U.S. Jordanian University Cooperation Network (UCN) in cooperation with the University of Jordan (UJ) and North Carolina State University and with the support of the U.S. embassy in Amman.

 

Dr. Hadeel Yassin, Director of the International Cooperation Unit, said the event aimed to discuss and study ways to strengthen long-term research cooperation between the American and Jordanian universities and to build a strong network of research cooperation between the two parties.

 

In addition to academics, the conference was attended by international cooperation officials from the Ministry of Higher Education, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Mu'tah University, Hashemite University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Yarmouk University, Al-Bayt University, Al-Balqa Applied University and the University of Jordan.
 
Over the course of three days, the conference discussed a number of topics that are of interest to Jordanian researchers concerning application to external research grants, management and research cooperation strategies with American universities, as well as extensive scientific discussions on the most important fields of research cooperation and research fields of mutual interest that serve the national development goals of Jordan.
