UJ, Arab World Center for Democratic Development & Human Rights Sign MoU

The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Arab World Center for Democratic Development & Human Rights (United for Human Rights and Democracy-UniHrD) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

 

The MoU was signed by UJ Vice President for Humanities Faculties, Prof.  Ahmad Majdoubeh, and the Center's Director, advisor to the "Rule of Law Our Guarantee" project, Samir Al-Jarrah, in presence of Eng. Bakr Al-Abadi and Osama Khadra from the Center.

 

The purpose of the MoU is to promote and cultivate the concepts of democracy, human rights and sustainable development among youth, particularly university students.

 

The MoU aims to train students on the concept of citizenship by holding workshops on the rule of law, democracy and human rights.

 

UniHrD, a Jordanian officially registered as non-profit, an independent, scientific and non-governmental Organization, established by a number of activists on Democracy and Human Rights Fields, dedicated to the defence and promotion of human rights & Democracy, in Jordan and around the Arab World.
