Kuwaiti Envoy Lectures at UJ's CSS

The Kuwaiti ambassador to Jordan, Aziz Daihani, on Wednesday highlighted at the University of Jordan (UJ) the deep-rooted and continuous Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations, as a "distinguished' model in Arab-Arab relations.

 

Daihani said during a lecture at the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) at the university that Jordan has a good investment climate, pointing out that the volume of Kuwaiti investments in Jordan amounts to $18 billion.

 

The ambassador indicated that diplomatic relations between the two countries, which began in 1961, are based on the principles of respect, sovereignty and stability, and peruse of world peace and assistance to brother and friend states.

 

He added that the foresight of the leadership of the two brotherly countries played a vital role in promoting bilateral relations.

 

Daihani revealed that over 4000 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Jordan, adding that the Jordanian professors have a distinguished presence in Kuwait's universities. He also pointed out that the Kingdom has always remained a destination for Kuwaiti tourists due to its nature and climate, security and safety, and the cultural similarities between the two countries.

 

In his remarks, UJ president Prof. Abdul Karim Al Qudah congratulated the ambassador on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day, highlighting the most prominent ways of cooperation governed by the well-established relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

Al-Qudah said that the Kuwaiti students at UJ are ambitious and hardworking; uttering pride that UJ includes a large numbers of Arab students.

 

CSS Director Prof. Zaid Eyadat presented an overview of the center's structure, work and contributions, and spoke of the distinguished and vibrant relations between Jordan and Kuwait, noting that the seminar is an manifestation of the strong ties between the two states.
