UJ, TSU Sign Agreement
The University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday signed a student exchange agreement with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia.
 
The agreement was signed by UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Georgia in Amman, Zaza Kandelaki, in the presence of Assistant President for International Program and Marketing Affairs, Director of the International Affairs Unit, and Director of the Media, Public Relations and Radio Unit.
 
According to the agreement, students in both universities will have the chance to spend one to two semesters at the other university. Students are selected according to a specific criteria including academic performance, completion of 36 credit hours of study for undergraduate students, and 6 credit hours for postgraduate students.
 
Prior to the signing ceremony, President Obeidat discussed with Kandelaki other aspects of cooperation including the possibility of increasing the number of Georgian students studying at the university, stressing UJ's keenness to build international cooperation relations that would serve the educational process at the university.
 
For his part, Ambassador Kandelaki expressed his hope that the agreement would pave the way for fruitful scientific and academic cooperation between the two parties.
