UJ, Czech Embassy Discuss Cooperation
The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Professor Nathir Obeidat, on Thursday, December 9th, discussed in his office with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Josef Koutsky aspects of academic and cultural cooperation and ways to enhance them.
 

Obeidat stressed the university's interest in developing cooperative relations with both universities and Czech research institutions, expressing UJ's willingness to accept more Czech students, particularly to study in the Arabic language program.
Vice President for International Affairs, Quality and Accreditation, Director of The Center for Strategic Studies (CSS), Professor Zaid Eyadat, noted that the university is internationally well-known for being distinguished in many of its programs, as well as having a strategic studies center that is ranked first on the list of “Distinguished Centres for Excellence" in the Middle East and North Africa.

For his part, Koutsky expressed the desire of a number of Czech universities to establish bridges of cooperation with the UJ in the academic and research fields, due to its good scientific reputation, stressing that there are many opportunities for future cooperation between the two parties.

President Assistant for the International Program and Marketing Affairs, Dr. Zaid Obeidat said that UJ has received international accreditation for a good sum of its programs, which enables its graduates to compete successfully at the local and international levels.

International Affairs Unit Director, Dr. Hadeel Yaseen, stated that UJ has agreements with Czech universities within the Erasmus + academic mobility program, as well as a separate memorandum of understanding with the prestigious Charles University.
