Associate Professor of Bioanalysis and Pharmaceutical Analysis at the University of Jordan (UJ), Lina Dahabiyeh, has been selected among the 15 most promising young researchers worldwide by the International Rising Talents programme of the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science of the year 2022.

Dr. Lina Dahabiyeh is recognized for her leading work in developing and applying cutting edge bioanalytical techniques to better understand conditions including Parkinson’s disease and pre-eclampsia.

Dahabiyeh is an accomplished scholar with over 25 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed international journals and two book chapters.

Dahabiyeh has received a number of fellowships and scholarships from various international bodies, and has established several national and international collaborations.

She also serves as a reviewer for several ISI international journals and acts as a supervisor for a number of postgraduate students. Her research is an important translational research field. She aims to use novel state-of-the-art analytical approaches, such as integrative omics approaches, to advance the current understanding of several health conditions and aid in their diagnosis, and identify new therapeutic targets for drug development.

Since 2000, the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science programme has highlighted the achievements of younger women who are in the early stages of their scientific careers.

Each year, the national and regional programs selects the 15 most promising women scientists among the almost 260 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programme.
