The University of Jordan (UJ) is mourning the loss of its 3rd president, Abdel Salam Majali, who passed away January 3, after a life full of public service.

UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, on Tuesday mourned the loss of Majali on behalf of UJ's vice-presidents, Council of Deans, and staff members.

Among other services, Majali served as Jordan's prime minister and minister of foreign and defence from 1993 to 1995. He held the position for a second term from 1997 to 1998.
