UJ Takes Part in 54th Cairo International Book Fair

The University of Jordan (UJ) is showing an active presence in the currently taking place 54th Cairo International Book Fair, as part of Jordan’s participation as a guest of honor at the exhibition.

 

UJ's participation came through a number of seminars, lectures and papers presented by a group of its academics and lecturers.


Dean of the School of Arts and Director of the Royal Hashemite Documentation Center, Prof. Muhannad Mobaideen, presented a paper entitled: "Royal Letters: Jordan and Egypt Between 1921 and 1946", in which he emphasized deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Egypt.

 

While the Fair is taking place, Chairman of the University's cultural forum, Dr. Ismail Al-Saudi, and Director of the Media, Public Relations and Radio Unit, Dr. Muhammad Wasef, presenting tomorrow on behalf of UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, 500 books to the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, as a gift to the League, dedicating the University's status as a beacon of culture and knowledge.

 

Other professors of Arabic literature at the School of Arts, including Dr. Maha Al-Atoum, and Dr. Shukri Aziz Al-Madhi, as well as Dr. Omar Al-Fajawi and Dr. Muhammad Al-Saudi are also participating in the event.
