The Faculty of Business and Finance at the University of Jordan in Aqaba (UJ Aqaba) is organizing on Wednesday and Thursday, March 2 and 3, its first economic conference titled: “Aqaba Special Economic Zone: reality and aspirations".
The Conference aims to strengthen partnership between the university and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and their strategic partners on the development of the zone.
Held under the patronage of Prime Minister Abdullah Nsour, the conference will examine over two days a number of economic issues, including the role of ASEZ Law in attracting investment, major investment successes and their role in the overall development of ASEZ, the role of UJ Aqaba in future development and production plans and the role scholars in economic development of the zone.
The Conference is held with the support of the Scientific Research Fund (SRF) and all of the Aqaba Ports Cooperation, Aqaba-Red Sea Foundation, Arab Bridge Maritime Co, KEMAPCO, Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Jordan Islamic Bank, Pepsi, Ayla Oasis, and PBI AQABA.
