The First Economic Conference "ASEZ : reality and aspirations" kicked off at UJ Aqaba on Wednesday under the patronage of Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Dr. Hani Mulki presented the inaugural speech on behalf of Prime Minister Ensour.
UJ president Prof. Ehkleif Tarawnh and Vice president and President of UJ Aqaba Prof. Musa Al Lozi spoke at the inaugural ceremony, which was attended by officials from the city, UJ, and ASEZA.
The two-day Conference aims to strengthen partnership between the university and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and their strategic partners on the development of the zone.
The Conference is held with the support of the Scientific Research Fund (SRF) and all of the Aqaba Ports Cooperation, Aqaba-Red Sea Foundation, Arab Bridge Maritime Co, KEMAPCO, Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Jordan Islamic Bank, Pepsi, Ayla Oasis, and PBI AQABA.
