Forum on Campus Violence Concludes at UJ Aqaba

A forum gathered the country’s public and private universities concluded Thursday, April 21, at the University of Jordan in Aqaba (UJ Aqaba) with recommendation to review admission criteria, and strengthen the rule of law and concepts of good citizenship among students.


The forum, held under the title: “University violence: causes and effects on youth and society”, served as a platform to spot and understand the real causes and effects of campus violence.


Over two days, specialists and researchers from various Jordanian universities examined the phenomenon of violence on college and university campuses in Jordan, its causes and effects on students and community, as well as measures and effort to respond to it.


UJ Vice President and UJ Aqapa President Prof. Musa Al Lozi, patronized the event on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
