Four UJ Projects Win EU Support under Erasmus plus Programme

Four University of Jordan (UJ) projects have been selected for funding under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, according to the Erasmus+ capacity building selection results for the year 2022.
 
UJ is a leader in one and a strategic partner in the remaining three projects, selected by EU committee with the assistance of external experts after being evaluated based on a number of specific criteria.
 
According to a statement issued by the European Commission in Brussels, UJ won the leadership of a project entitled Enhancing ICT Competencies of Early Childhood Educators at HEIs in MENA Countries ICT4EDU.

 

The project will be managed and coordinated by Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Dean of the National University College of Technology, Ahmad Al-Salaymeh, and Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor of Software Engineering at the King Abdullah II College of Information Technology, Mohammad Alshraideh.
 
Moreover, the three VET projects which have been accepted for funding were submitted in the first cycle in March, and are as follows:

 

• COSMO project :(Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia) and European partners (France, Croatia, Italy).

• INNOMED project :(Jordan, Morocco) and European partners (Italy, Cyprus, Austria, Greece).

• AgroTech project:(Jordan, Palestine) and European partners (Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia).

 

This achievement is a joint effort between the European Projects Office and the International Affairs Unit represented by the Externally Funded Projects Department at UJ, and the European Projects Office at the National University College of Technology, and the Erasmus plus National Office Jordan.
