The University of Jordan (UJ) on Friday concluded its fifty-sixth graduation ceremonies. A total of 3,103 graduates from the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Graduate Studies, and the Center for Women's Studies marched across the university stadium to receive their degrees during the last day of the ceremonies.
In his address at the ceremony, UJ President Professor Nathir Obeidat commended the graduating students for their achievements and for allowing the university to be part of their academic journey.
"It is your day and the day of many who love you and who has a role in arriving at this moment. Congratulations for standing today on the soil of the University of Jordan while wearing its most graceful outfit."
Obeidat handed over degree certificates to 376 students from the School of Medicine, 231 from the School of Dentistry, and 582 doctoral students. He also conferred degrees to 1,898 students who have completed their master's requirements, and 16 Higher Diploma Program graduates.
In turn, Dean of Students Affairs Professor Muhannad Mobaideen called on the students of the "centennial batch" to continue to build on what you have learned at UJ and be the best ambassadors for their university.
