UJ Recognizes Its Inventors
The University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat honored, on Sunday patronized a ceremony organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the university to recognize 56 scholars and inventors at the university who contributed to the production of inventions and Innovations of high value to the society.
 
In his speech during the ceremony, Obeidat thanked the honorees for what they have accomplished to themselves and their university, expressing his appreciation to the professors who balanced their support for their students and minding their own accomplishments. He also commended the Center for its great efforts in this field.
 
It is noteworthy that this honoring is the first of its kind at the University and aims at highlighting the efforts of its community as a source for distinctive ideas and innovations that contribute to solving problems, and an added advantage to the society, in addition to the positive impact of these inventions on the university’s international ranking.
 
At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by a number of school deans, Obeidat handed the shields of distinction to the 56 faculty members, researchers, administrators and students honorees, and chatted with them afterwards.
