UJ Radio Marks World Radio Day

The University of Jordan (UJ) Radio on Monday marked World Radio Day, which falls on the thirteenth of February of each year, and held this year under the theme: "Radio and Peace".


On this occasion, UJ radio hosted, through its various programs a number of media prominent personalities, including media professor Dr. Tayseer Abu Arja and former President of the Society for Jordanian Broadcasters Dr. Hatem Al Kiswani. Abu-Arja spoke of the past and present of radio, verifying its preserved status and future trends, while Al-Kiswani pointed to the importance of radio and its various services, hoping that radio stations will push societies towards peace and harmony.


UJ Radio also conducted an opinion poll on with regards to the extent to which citizens' are committed to different radio stations. The poll generated phone calls from outside Jordan confirming UJ Radio's distinction among its counterparts at the various local, Arab and regional levels.
