UJ Harvests Gold, Ranks first in the Jordanian Universities Karate Championship

The University of Jordan's (UJ) karate practitioners have collected 11 medals at the 2019 Jordanian Universities Karate Championship.

UJ won a total of 5 gold medals collected by Alaa Walid (55 Kg), Reem Al-Rifa’i (68 Kg), Mahmoud Obaid (84 Kg), Hatem Dweik (75 Kg), and Thaer Al-Namrouti (gold kata), in addition to harvesting the gold of the male team and women team tournaments.

UJ also won a silver medal (Faisal Al-Hamaydeh – 60 Kg), and three bronze medals (Yazan Basil - 55 Kg,  Marwa Ali -61 Kg, Natalie Al-Najjar - bronze Kata).

Based on the results, the Hashemite University came second, and Al-Balqa Applied University in third place.
