UJ and IEC Sign Cooperation Agreement

The University of Jordan (UJ), on Sunday, signed an agreement to develop joint cooperation between the University and the Independent Election Commission (IEC).

The agreement was signed by UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat and IEC Chairman Dr. Khalid Al-Kalaldeh, with the aim of establishing a joint academic program under the name "Higher Diploma in Election Management", within the Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies.

The agreement will contribute to promoting electoral awareness, consolidating democratic standards amongst students, and building the capacities of personnel involved in the electoral process, locally, regionally and internationally.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President for International Affairs, Quality and Accreditation, Prof. Zaid Eyadat; President Assistant for Legal Affairs, Dr. Hadeel Al-Zoubi; Dean of Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies, Prof. Faisal Al-Rfouh; Prof. Mohammad Al-Qatatsheh; and Director of the International Affairs Unit, Dr. Hadeel Yaseen.
